Probate Process

The Probate Court Exists to Help You

The Probate Court handles many issues, including cases involving children, disabled people, and decedents' estates.

Guardianships and Conservatorships may be necessary when someone is or becomes disabled.

When a person dies owning real estate or financial assets, the assistance of the Probate Court may be necessary to transfer those assets to the heirs. Wills tell the court and the beneficiaries how that person wanted their assets to be divided.

One of the objects of a Trust is often to skip the probate process. But if there is a disagreement about the terms or the handling of a Trust, the Probate Court can resolve those issues.

Court staff are prohibited by law to give legal advice. I am happy to provide the necessary legal services to make the probate process as undemanding as possible.
